Matt Howard sailing his New Boon Solo 5211 took the title in a last race battle with Charlie Cumbley 5202. Charlie had lead the event from day one with 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,7 Matt counted a 1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3. Going into the last race Charlie had the lead by 2 points however he needed a result from the last race to prevent him counting a 7. Boon Boats GP14 14090 takes 2nd Overall at the GP14 Masters

Counting 1,2,2

Sailing the New Boon Epoxy GP14 14090, David Mitchel crewed by son Pete took the overnight lead after Saturdays racing at Welsh Harp SC, counting a 1st and a 2nd, from the 2 races sailed in a steady 12 to 13 knot breeze. Unfortunately Sunday dawned with very little wind that never really materialized.

Father and son took 2nd overall at close of racing on Sunday having lodged another 2 to count. Its the first time David has been in a GP14 in five years let alone with Pete crewing, so a great performance all round. Well done Guys.

Pete Mitchel 14090 takes 3rd at Brightlingsea GP14 South East Area Championships

Counting 2,2,3,4,4

Sailing the new Boon GP14 14090, Pete Mitchel teamed up with Emily Cole-Evans to compete in the GP14 South East Areas held at Brightlingsea SC. Having only done one event together they got stronger as the weekend progressed. With winds light to moderate they displayed excellent pace all round with their North Sails combined with a Selden rig on a new Boon Epoxy hull.

Well done Guys!
