GP14 - North GP14 Sails

Update March 2012

North 3DL has arrived for the GP14 and will be campaigned throughout the season by Pete Mitchel

The line up of fully optimised sails for 2012 from North for the GP14 are as follows:-

Update March 2011

An extensive program of development has been on going at the North loft on

all new sails that will grace our new epoxy GP14. The first production set of sails have already proved themselves with a win at the GP14 Youth Championships recently held at Southport SC.

They won the event using the new KM-1 laminate Mainsail constructed from North's own Custom ATX 2mil Kevlar, the DJ-2C Genoa and the GS-A Spinnaker. 

The sails will be further tweeked over the next couple of months and will be on display on our first all new Epoxy GP14 on the GP14 Class Association stand at Sailboat 2011 held at Alexander Palace next March.

Mainsail (KM-1) Laminate

North's new laminate mainsail is manufactured from Custom ATX 2mil Kevlar,

only available to North. Not quite as durable as the Dacron sail but certainly

fast out of the bag and significantly lighter.

 

Mainsail (M-1) Dacron

North's new Dacron Mainsail is manufactured from (Olympic 181 Dacron).
